Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Android Developer with hands-on experience in Android application development. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Java/Kotlin, Android SDK, REST APIs, Room Database, and modern Android development practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications.
  • Upgrade, configure, debug, and enhance existing applications.
  • Develop new features and applications from scratch.
  • Integrate Android applications with server-side APIs and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improvements.
  • Identify and resolve application bugs, performance issues, and technical bottlenecks.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following development best practices.
  • Perform unit testing to ensure application reliability and robustness.
  • Ensure applications deliver optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Android application development.
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin; Kotlin experience is an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of Android SDK.
  • Knowledge of Room Database and SQL queries.
  • Experience consuming REST/SOAP web services.
  • Good understanding of Retrofit / Volley for web service integration.
  • Experience handling JSON and XML responses.
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
  • Experience with unit testing.
  • Proficiency in Git and Bitbucket.
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
